Eldridge Gallery

The 2,200 square foot Robert L. and Grace F. Eldridge Gallery was officially dedicated during the Prix de West Invitational opening weekend, June 9-10, 1995. Funds for the gallery were donated by Mrs. Roberta Eldridge Miller, Oklahoma City, in honor of her late parents. Robert Eldridge was a World War I veteran who had several careers including a pharmacist, businessman, realtor, oil realty investor, rancher and farmer.

Drawing largely on recent acquisitions, this exhibition seeks to broaden public understanding of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum's principal activities in the collection, preservation and interpretation of our shared legacy in the American West.

All three museum functions - collecting, preserving and interpreting - are dynamic, ever-changing and interrelated. They are a vital part of the mosaic of activities that give museums their distinct character.
