Introduction
This collection of photographs, most by Dean Burch, feature the 101 Ranch and a number of individuals connected with it, in addition to some photos of Osage and Kiowa. Other photos feature members of the Cherokee Strip Cowpunchers Association.

Biography
No information is available about Ann Dawson, who gave this collection to the Museum, nor about the prominent photographer in the collection, Dean Burch.

Scope & Content Note  

This collection contains 24 photographs and one copy negative. The subjects include Native Americans in costume performing ceremonies and Frank Eaton as "Pistol Pete." The tribes represented include Osage and Kiowa. The photographs of Frank Eaton include several of the Cherokee Strip Cowpunchers Association. The name "Dean Burch" is associated with this collection. Most of the photographs are by Dean Burch of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

This collection was accessioned in 1971. A scope and content note was written by librarian Karen Spilman in March 2003. The current finding aid was written and posted online by archivist/librarian Laura Anne Heller in November 2009.
